BillUsers.com is Launched

So we did it!
Last November.

After much chopping, slicing, dicing, washing, scraping, spicing, incensing, boiling, stirring, steaming and not to mention frying, we at the RnD team at Duo Software launched our highly anticipated, first full product: BillUsers.Com !

So what is BillUsers.com? It is a cloud based platform for anyone who wants to do billing. More specifically suitable if you are in the Pay-TV industry. That is for the cable and satellite television companies, to manage their customers and for the billing needs, with inventory management, CAS integration, reports, CRM and an android app for mobile access for a very affordable price (based on the number of users).

As the site says: ''Billusers.com provides you with many options and methods of billing the customer in order to generate revenue while meeting market needs. Billing cycles can be maintained flexibly on a post-paid basis with flexible billing periods as required.''

You would think, isn't this what the DuoSubscribe is already doing? Yes and no. BillUsers.Com is for the small to medium level Pay-TV companies and who ever that simply wants to manage their subscribed customer base with a small budget. It is online, which means, you don't have to spend on installation and maintenance of the system. We will do it for you. In return, you will get every thing important and nothing too fancy. You can choose to implement the system at your place if you wish as well.

We at the RnD team were working on this product for more than 1 and a half years. We used the MVC framework for ASP.Net, that comes with the .Net platform. CelloSaaS is a framework BillUsers.Com employes, which is built on top of MVC. We had to use JQuery quite extensively as the MVC framework doesn't support web-forms controls. JQuery DataTables is one plugin that was heavily used. WCF services were used as well for part of the functionality. For accessing the application from mobile phones, we made the site responsive: i.e. mobile friendly. Android development is another technology we have used.

Many colleagues were there with us along this long time working on BillUser.Com. Many have left. Many new faces are here, working with no less enthusiasm. We walked on uncharted territories.
